What to do about a squirrel on the roof - For most people, they find squirrels to be nothing more than a slight annoyance. Having the around their home does not bother them one bit, and really poses no problem. Maybe there is an occasional one in a tree knocking branches or twigs down, or one that might make some noise on the roof, but generally no one finds any issues with these little critters.

There are some that find them a little too annoying for their own good. They simply do not like these critters around and find them to be too much hassle than they are worth. This will most assuredly scare the squirrel away. The sudden burst of water on the critter is bound to cause it to just run away, and when this happens your problem is solved.

While this may get them to run, it may not stop them from coming back. You may have to be a little harsher with them to keep them off. There are actually little rods you can add onto your roof that make it very uncomfortable for a squirrel to bound across it. They do not damage your roof in any way, but they are quite irritating to the squirrel, who finds that his or her paws take a bit of beating when they come across your roof. This can really do the trick and keep them away for a long time to come.
